Finance Officer- PMT -1 Position
The Finance Officer will be based with Programme Monitoring Team (PMT) in Kathmandu and is responsible for overall financial administration of externally funded Programmes/ Projects managed by SNV Nepal.
Core Responsibilities:
- Overall budget management including effective planning, application, monitoring and forecasting..
- Ensure up-to-date record of expenditure in compliance with budget allocation and donor requirements..
- Conduct periodic financial reviews and analysis to ensure quality of financial information.
- Ensure financial compliance according to legal, organisational and contractual norms.
- Implement internal audits and budgetary control functions.
- Collect, collate and prepare periodic financial reports.
- Support business sectors on financial and administrative management.
- Support partners on administrative and financial aspects of devolution including financial sustainability.
Required Competencies:
- Masters in Business Administration with focus on Financial Management.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in development sector.
- Experience in computerised accounting packages.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Nepali.
